The Warmth of Yellow at The Manor House
As you approach The Manor House, the first thing you’ll notice is the abundance of yellow. No matter the season, the grounds are alive with golden hues. In fall, bright chrysanthemums line the front steps, and in spring and summer, garden beds overflow with yellow blooms, arranged by project manager Jean Jarrell.
Stepping closer, the home greets you with its bright yellow doors, embellished in gold hardware, the first door opening to the grand living room, and the second leading to the kitchen. Each door hints at the warmth waiting inside and around back. Around the back, the color theme continues with three extra-large yellow patio umbrellas that stretch wide across the terrace. Before the sun sets across the large back yard, the umbrellas strike a bold and beautiful contrast against the blue skies followed by glowing in unison with the evening light.
Once indoors, the yellow deepens into a soft, calming palette. Every wall carries the color’s warmth. Some are two-toned yellow, others are a solid yellow, creating a space that feels cheerful yet serene. Even the smallest details join in the celebration: from the yellow water spigot handle outside to the sunlit reflections that dance across and walls within.
At The Manor House, yellow isn’t just a color, it’s part of the experience. It reflects the sunlight, adds a sense of warmth, and creates a feeling of home that stays with you. From sunrise to sunset, the mountains glow in shades of yellow, reminding us exactly why we chose this cheerful, welcoming color for our home.
